Hero Gopichand is looking for a perfect hit. He is trying for his mark, but nothing is working his way. There were skyrocketing expectations on his latest film Loukyam that has released worldwide today. Apart from Sriwass who gave him a hit with Lakshyam, Gopi has teamed up with writers Kona Venkat-Gopi Mohan, music director Anup Rubens, Gopi’s earlier films Lakshyam and Wanted producer P Anand Prasad for Laukyam Review


Loukyam that carried a positive buzz. Interestingly, the director, the producer have distributed the movie in many places showing their confidence on film. In addition, the most sought after actress Rakul Preet Singh has teamed up with Gopichand. Let’s see how the movie came up:

Story:
Warangal Babji’s sister marriage is spoiled by Venkateswara Rao alias Venky (Gopichand). Babji begins chase to kill Venky, who went to Hyderabad to fall in love with Chandrakala (Rakul Preet Singh), sister of Babji. She is also in love with him. Chandrakala in order to marry him has to convince her brother who has revenge with Kesava Reddi (Mukhesh Rishi) who in turn is trying to kill her. This is the twist. Rest of the story is up on the screen on how Venky solves the problems.

Artists Performance:
Gopichand has done action comedy role in the film. Too many comedians competed with themselves. No matter, what the movie story is, it has good and energetic comedy. Venkatadri express beauty Rakul Preet Singh was glamorous and has impressed with her performance. She will soon become a full-fledged commercial heroine. The role of Sippy played by Brahmi entertains the audience occasionally with his humor. Chandra Mohan, 30-year industry Prithvi and Posani also entertained the audience. In addition, Hamsa Nandini enthralled in a vamp kind of role.


Presentation of technical experts:
Anup Rubens composed songs are good, however his background score is weak. Sridhar Sipana’s story is routine. However, more than 60 percent of the dialogues written by the same person were well exploded. It would be nice if he would have put in interest on story. The Kona Venkat-Gopi Mohan duo played safe game by providing entertaining script for audience. In some places, especially in the second half, they have showed their mark. Their work was the major highlight of the movie. Vetri cinematography is very good and has taken good care in picturizing all the sequences. If the editor had cut few lag scenes it would be more beautiful. P Anand Prasad production values are good.


Direction:
Director Sriwass went on commercial format by including four-fights, songs, good dose of comedy and action. He utilized all the resources especially comedy, in the manner of director Srinu Vaitla. However, the film's director dealt the crucial part of second half with comedy and a reasonable story. Audience can feel relax and satisfied after coming out of the theaters. However, the first half was routine and boring.

Finally ...
Loukyam released with many expectations would provide a decent hit to Gopichand. The film has showed craze on Director Sriwass and Gopi combination. Though the story was old, director’s special mark of dealing comedy has turned as highlight. However, second half in recent past Telugu movies are located in villain home. Don’t know why, in Loukyam second half runs in hero’s house. They have provided some comedy in the end when story is going routinely. We can enjoy the movie with entire family membersas it has good amusement. The movie will surely make its mark at the box office.
